Very cool. Thanks for sharing that. I saw them first on Pitchfork and then noticed them cropping on various lists. But, I had not seen the NPR video.

The guy that does the metal part of Pitchfork had them on his list. Swans and Neurosis have touch a lot of us.....I  think many of us that enjoy the more experimental side of heavy music, are open to off beat electronic and ambient kinds of music. I pretty much like any kind of psychedelic influence. Also, enjoy artists that combine electronic elements with traditional instrumentation and vocals.  I just love the combination of this band.

Just purchased Phospherescent's -Muchacho...really enjoyable acoustic/indie folk with complex arrangments

Also, speaking of interesting heavy music. This one should have cross over appeal-lots of melody...one of the best metal releases of the year IMO-Fair warning...the dyanamics aren't great (I.e., compressed sound unfortunately), but  a very interesting band....2 violinists and a solid female vocalist. Luv this band. This is not your father's metal

Fantastic album start to finish , come to think of it , there is no such thing as a bad Joseph Nothing album. the song Ahnenerbe from 'Shambhala number 2 & 3 sounds especially wonderful on my Beyerdynamic DT 770 80Ω headphones.incredible vibration elation sensations galore what with the deep reaching extension in the lower frequencies and all :L3000:
