How's the MOG download feature? Does it work for both PC and Mobile without having internet connection to play (true offline play)? I've read through all the pages on their site with no avail.

I might've been a bit harsh, it sounds better than 160kbps but definitely not as good as other albums. I'll know on Wednesday as the album is coming in from Amazon. :D

Felt the need to play this after the local meeting being held today. It was definitely an experience to hear it in 24-bit/96KHz through some great headphones.

Haha! Excellent. I burned a CD with about 7 of her songs on it to put in my car today. When I dropped the CD in to play it, my 18 year old daughter exclaimed:

"I can't believe you listen to this..."

Priceless. LOL.

If you want to get someone started on the genre, this would make a great intro album.

It's quite a change. Back in the early days they made their music with a lot of digital equipment. Later they converted it to be played by an orchestra, quite a challenge for that orchestra. But when you listen to the "with orchestra" album you can say they did a very nice job. With the new album they chose again to take a different path. This album "reflection" is made with only analog instruments (don't know if "analog" is the right word for it). To record the album, they visited multiple different houses. Each instrument is recorded in the room where the acoustics for that instrument suits best. On the website of Hooverphonic you can view the hooverdomestic video series where they show you the recording of the album.

So it's an interesting step they made and you can hear that on the album. The sound is more natural, pure and honest. It's first single of the album is a big success, so much that they decided to postpone the second single for a while :-)

I've seen them live twice now. One time with orchestra and yesterday without. I hope that they decide to also convert this album to a with an orchestra version
