Paradise Valley Going Somewhere

the story of Badfinger has to be one of if not the saddest story in Rock and Roll history.despite being hand picked by the Beatles to be the next big thing and signed to Apple records, and despite having chart success with numerous singles and album sales early on in their career, poor business decisions and a thieving bastard of a manager (Stan Polley may he burn in hell) stole nearly all of the bands royalties eventually leading main songwriter/vocalist/guitarist Pete Ham to commit suicide by hanging in 1975.which in turn would lead Tom Evans (who was Badfingers other main songwriter as well as  very close friends with Pete Ham and never really got over Pete's death) to also commit suicide (again by hanging) in 1983.

Ultimately these two very gifted and talented young men were driven to an early grave by betrayal all for the love of money (not theirs, but Stan Polley's who if you read his wiki bio will discover was a conman all his life and cared for nothing but attempting to satisfy his insatiable greed),which is what made Baby Blue an even more fitting final song for Breaking Bad. I'm happy to see a whole new generation discovering the band as their music is still is relevant today as it was in the 70s.

An under appreciated band.  "Baby Blue," "No Matter What," "Day After Day," and "Come and Get It" (written by McCartney).  Another band abused by a greedy manager.  These songs are real ear candy.
