Sebastian Tellier and his vintage analog Roland SH-101

(What it might sound like if the Beach Boys (or Panda Bear) sang back up for Serge Gainsbourg?)

Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Weld (1991)

When this concert film came out in 1991, I bought it on stereo VHS tape. Back in the '90s, I had a 27" Sony Trinitron tube TV and a 5.1 home theater system. I used to watch that tape all the time and rock the house with my stereo VCR plugged into my 5.1 rig. Those were the days. Unfortunately, as far as I know, this film has never been released on DVD.

I just recently got the audio CD version on two CDs that I never had back in the day. I'm particularly enjoying "Crime In The City" which I haven't heard for years.

Neil Young's live releases are really hit-and-miss when it comes to audio quality. Live at Massey Hall 1971 has some great live recording for the time, whereas Unplugged (1993) sounds like it was done with a single field mic.

Huh, I was just browsing YouTube while signed in and a new feature called "Creation Tools" appeared on the left-hand side when looking at my Video Manager.

There's an interesting selection of music you can [legally] download for free in the audio library. They seem to be 320 kbps VBR MP3s; not too shabby.

:D

The Deluxe version is a must for any Stones fan.  I've grown weary of some Deluxe editions, rehashed and throw away songs for the most part. Here I was blown away by the extra cuts.  "Do You Think I Really Care" maybe the best Stones song never to have made an album.

Finally broke down and downloaded the HDTracks 24/96 version.  The newly mastered cuts are here along with the original album versions.  On the new tracks the vocals and instruments are more out front than the album versions.  Some of the newly mastered versions sound better to me such as "Dumb,"  but I still preferred a few of the album versions in particular "Rape Me."  Multiple demos and songs that were not on the original album.  43 tracks in all. Beautiful transfer. An important album by one of the most important groups of the last 25 years.
