Bill Frisell - The Best of Bill Frisell, Volume 1: Folk Songs

A very interesting; easy-listening compilation. Not big on 'best of' or 'greatest hits' stuff, but I must admit that they are great way to become introduced to an artist. I believe I heard of this artist through a member here on Head-Fi (whose username I unfortunately cannot recall). All in all, much thanks for helping me find a swell artist. :-)

"Prairie Wind" - Neil Young

"..cause i see an ancient rhythm in a man's genetic code

gonna keep on rock'n'rollin' til my jeans/genes explode!"  rock n roll love letter - the bay city rollers

(from the bubblegum factory circa nineteen seventy so long ago i forget exactly...)

sure go ahead, have a laugh,it's the bay city rollers.cheeky forgotten relics of the 'whatever happened to..- no wait, on second thought we don't care.' era - but the fact is,as far as great powerpop (somewhere in between the likes of the raspberries, cheap trick, the records, the undertones, the knack, shoes, the cars, big star, the nazz and/or the partridge family) goes this track in particular has stood the test of time quite well.

AVTechNO! - 僕たちは (Boku Tachi Wa)

KarenT put out a staggering 17 new releases today. I unfortunately only had enough money transferred to my iTunes account to purchase one song, so I naturally went for the one by one of my favorite artists. I'll check out the rest of this musical tidal wave tomorrow when I have more time for that.

from their 6th studio album Last of the Independents :

"I'll Stand By You"

Oh, why you look so sad?
Tears are in your eyes
Come on and come to me now
Don't be ashamed to cry
Let me see you through
'Cause I've seen the dark side too
When the night falls on you
You don't know what to do
Nothing you confess
Could make me love you less

I'll stand by you ~
