Rolling Stones - Beggars Banquet 88.2/24 from HDTracks...

Fantastic album! By the way, listen to "Stray Cat Blues" through headphones and you will hear a flaw in the master tape that was used when the album was reissued in high resolution. Somewhere around 2:19 to 2:23 in "Stray Cat Blues," you will hear the left channel fade out...

Nice...It sure does....Nothing like straight from the master tape recordings.

oddly...i prefer the original vinyl rip to the HD tracks version, not sure why but it seems more open to me.  wonder if the master is different?
either way, a fantastic album, one of my favorites ever recorded in fact!

anyways today i have the family out, so it's jay-z magna carta on the hi-fi.  i love this album, the beats are fantastic and jay's flow is spot on despite the crap lyrics

Opeth-Heritage 2011-Such a grower. Some albums you get right away. Not this one. it's taken me two years of on and off listenings to sink in. I think it's worth one's time for sure, even though it requires some patience. Beautiful, complex and challenging, yet rewarding to my ears today. But, don't ask me what it's about conceptually. I have not a clue. I simply enjoy the ride.....

Grateful Dead - American Beauty
[favorite track: Attics Of My Life]

This album is very sweet. I can listen to this album in it's entirety all the time. I wish it did have a tad more head room as it sounds like just a tad too much dither was applied to the red book master, but it doesn't distract from a wonderful listening experience. Definitely recommend this album to those first-time Grateful Dead listeners. :)

Hybrid - Disappear Here
[favorite track: Empire]

This is a group that a friend of mine introduced me to a while back.  The music is a blend between Dnb, Electronic, Trance, Acoustic, and Vocals.  I do have a few albums in my collection, but this one has to be my most favorite of the trio's discography.  As much as I love the title track of the album, I feel it's opening tune is just as powerful as it indeed helps set a mood for the rest of the record.  It's haunting yet uplifting music allows me to highly recommend this album. Not only is it  fun, but it is also a mesmerizing listening experience.
