I have "The Raven..." on BluRay but haven't listened to it yet.

I'm listening to The Raven and Storm Corrosion back to back. I'm surprised how much I like Storm Corrosion. Quite different than PQ or Opeth's last release. Very dreamy, pretty and quite folksy/acoustic. I think it's a remarkably beautiful album. Almost Simon and Garfunkel like in places with some beautiful vocal work by Wilson.

yea it is good alright the dvd is real good also. that bass player with the white plats is awesome! here is a pic of him from years back -ha ha

I like the way Wilson is always pushing the prog boat out. old English prog is probably my second port of call after jazz/soul.

some of the album sounds like - YES - TALES FROM TOPOGRAPHIC OCEANS other parts sound like the early genesis stuff like the flute

playing on - TRESPASS. the album is fairly loaded with old english prog - camel/focus and king crimson especially LARKS TONGUES IN ASPIC.

I have not heard a new prog album that turned me on this much since - THE MARS VOLTAS - DE LOUSED IN THE COMATORUIM which also sounds

a lot like - TALES FROM TOPOGRAPHIC OCEANS. these are woppers of albums and not to be forgotten any time soon!

Kajagoogoo - Noooo! Now I'm gonna be hearing, "you're too shy shy, hush hush, eye to eye..." all day. Thanks a lot rolleyes.gif

I hear a lot of YES, Pink Floyd, ELP, and Genesis in his work - both solo and Porcupine Tree.

I will definitely check out Stevens other albums, although I got "Insurgentes" a while ago and couldnt get into it.

And speaking of YES, I recently rediscovered this "post Jon" album - some like it, some dont, but I have always loved it...

I have never actually listened to that album. I don't like anything after "going for the one" the album Tormato is just bearable. i will give "drama" a listen though
