I think there are good and bad things about vinyl being so popular now (mostly good things though). One positive is that you see vinyl being offered more places, and more new albums are being offered in vinyl format. For the casual music fan and non-audiophile, vinyl is making a huge resurgence. People are taking interest in it who never would have before. On the other hand though, demand and prices will be higher for rare and original-pressed vinyl records, which is of course a natural consequence of market conditions. I see a number of my friends now more interested in music collection and appreciation since they've been introduced to vinyl.

I just listened to the iTunes stream straight from my MacBook with a $30 pair of Panasonic RPHTX7s. No Amp. No DAC. just music. When the last song came on, it was complete aural bliss. Sometimes audiophile snobs make me sick.
I don't normally like Zimmeresque soundtracks, as to me they all sound the same. They serve a purpose but are pretty much 'throw away after one listen overblown theatrics' Nice to test your hifi I suppose. But I must admit, this one is rather good.
Lisa Gerrard sounds familiar. Dead Can Dance?
