Variations Sur un Theme de Monteverdi I is excellent (I've only listened to side A so far).

Ash Borer - cold of ages

 

i couldn't recommend this album more highly....it's technically black metal but really more post-metal (even post rock) combined with atmosphere, droning, and the occasional BM howl.  simply superb.

I love this album and most of their music. I never would have considered enjoying their music years back, but they somehow managed to grow on me and I love it. They provide an excellent definition for art in general.
