Who's your least favorite musical artist?

There are some "artists" that just don't deserve to be rich for their artistic output. Now, I understand that musical merit is entirely subjective and that there is no objective quality that is inherent in any piece of music. I myself am a big fan of popular music that many on these forums would shun like the plague. However, some music just plain sucks. I rarely listen to rap on my own (occasionally Outkast or Beastie Boys), but I don't dislike it. However, 50 Cent is not a good rapper, period. No flow, no style, nothing. Even I can tell that, but he sold more albums in 2005 (I think it was last year) than any other artist in the U.S. Just plain sad.

So, feel free to vent. Who's on your most unwanted list?

Yeah, I can't get into Dylan, either. Tried, but couldn't. I always thought Tom Waits was a more interesting lyricist, even with his spoken word tracks.

Anything thats not from the 60's and pukingly saturated with political messages...anti-this, Pro-that, etc. IMHO thats such a cop out and easy front to gain a fan-base.

Sinaid o'conner, tracy Chapman, and some U2 stuff comes to mind off the top of my head. many times I can dig the tunes, harmony, melody and really get into the music... and the political crap gets in the way of my enjoyment.

Dreamtheater releases some tunes like that and I detest them too.... so I'm not singling out anyone in my rant

Love U2, hate Bono.

Seriously, he could have saved a third world country with the money he spent on having his hat sent first class in its own seat to him.

Politics.... it depends. Green Day's politics in American Idiot are kind of annoying. System of a Down's political stuff is also pretty dumb but I love System anyway.

I love Dylan though. I always thought he had the coolest voice. Certainly easier to get into than Tom Waits.

QFT. Rage against the machine. What bugs me more is people who listen to that crap and pretend to be informed..

Guns And Roses, most specifically Axl Rose. The last "Guns And Roses" tour was promoted a few years back with just Axl Rose, none of the rest of the group, and Rose never showed for the concerts that happened so the promoters pulled the plug.

Fall Out Boy. I would seriously consider having a kidney removed if my only other option was to attend one of their concerts.
