Mods to Marantz SA8001...What about RAM [Reference Audio Mods]?

Thread Starter
Has anyone ever owned, or heard a Marantz SA8001 modded by RAM [Reference Audio Mods]?
If so, what were your impressions of it?
What about compared to the stock unit?
Are the improvements worth the costs?
Has anyone out there ever had any player modded by RAM?
What was your experience like?
Thanks!

I've had a Sony XA9000ES modified by RAM. It's a killer player, and a great value for the money. I have a review with pics somewhere in this section. You'd probably have to spend nearly twice as much to get something comparable in a stock player.

Don't forget, you void your warrantee!

I have had several pieces modded including:
-2 CDPs
-2 dacs
-1 integrated amp

Very fast turnaround and no problems with modded units, by upgrading parts you get a more detailed and distortion free sound. I use Doug Jessie at RAM east, also like his ability to work within a set budget by you, tell him what sound you are looking for and he will do his best to get that for you.
