To everyone who says that USPS tracking sucks, well, it's delivery confirmation, not real tracking. I use it to check that the package made it safely, and that's it. UPS's tracking, on the other hand, is damn fine and very detailed. And I love the "estimated delivery date" because it's generally correct and I look forward to those days like I do Christmas.

Yep, I have had the best of luck with UPS tracking - top notch. The other day I was at work and I was on the phone with my wife. She said the UPS guy just pulled up and dropped off a package. In the meantime I had been tracking the package on line. I made a mental note of the time she said the package arrived (3pm). The online tracking info was updated and showed as 'delivered' 20 minutes later - not too shabby.

As for USPS, I agree, don't even bother paying for a 'tracking number'. They supposedly have some sort of tracking system in place, but of the times I have used it, it was just about worthless and a complete waste of money. Just go for a delivery confirmation and hope for the best.

It's not really tyhe company per say, but I know there are some locations that REALLY SUCK as far as taking care of your packages.

Example? Jacksonville, atleast the hub I'm at is hit or miss. I either get and absolutely mint box, or **** is all taped and crappy when it gets to me.

The absolute worst is the Brooklyn/NYC area Post Office and FedEx. Absolutely horrible.

But whenever I ship to SoCal, or West Coast, it seems like I NEVER have an issue (sans this recent debacle with fedex that I'm having), but every issue I've ever had, was an East Coast thing...coincidence? Maybe....but my luck hasn't been so good with ANY shipper except DHL when sending on the east coast or internationally...
