High-end Sennheisers, AKG and UE customs are not made in China.
However the lower-end headphones and the super.fi/metro.fi series are made in china.

What makes it difficult is that so many of the major manufacturers are making some phones in their home country and many others in other locations. Many are "offshore" but in other countries, and many more are made in China.

The country of origin has no bearing other than to reflect the parent companies quest for unreasonable profits of course. China can produce products the equal to anywhere else in the world if the profit margin isn't the prime consideration.

They don't want their phones priced out of the market? In any case "unreasonable profits" seems more theological than a statement having anything to do with real business.
