what amp whould i get (my first amp)

I was thinking about getting the 0HA-REP to go with the senn HD595 which i will be getting soon. But...

I found the headroom airhead for about the same price. I want to know if anybody has any experience with it. How does it compare with the 0HA-REP? I sorta like the whole dual outputs thing, but its no biggy, so if its lower quality, i would prefer the 0HA-REP.

Also, i saw the GoVibe 6, and i could only find info on the v5 in this forum, so i was wondering if anybody knows anything about v6.

Feel free to reccomend anything else in the same price range.

I always recommend Go-Vibe V6 for an introductory to portable amp world. Having spent some time tinkering with various amps under $100, I don't think any could actually compete with GV6 (within that price bracket).

You can place an order here:

And I think Norm Dalgarno still have that low price offering for GV6

Im new here, also thinking of getting a portable amp to gp with my sr60.. was thinking of getting a V6.

The V6 comes with a fixed gain.. will this be a problem when I want to get a higher impedance headphones in the future? Will i be able to adjust the gain on my own?

You can always ask Norm to prep the V6 to cater for specific range of gain. Just tell him that you need an amp to drive the ranges of 32-300 oHm. Even my Low gain model has enuff juice to drive 300 oHm HD600

ok, should i get the low, medium or high gain model? I will be using the hd595, which i think go between 150 and 350ohms depending on the frequncy (i got this info from headroom, but don't know if im lookin at the right graph)

If I recall correctly, despite the ohmage, HD595 is an easy can to drive. So you could not go wrong with Medium gain

Just tell Norm that you’ll be using a Sennheiser HD595.

Another vote for Norm and the V6 who has them at a great price now.
