I look forward to a comparison between SE530 and UM11. It seems only difference is that UM11 has one more driver inside and yet costs almost 2x more. Will it be worth the upgrade?

ok confirming. I have tried UE11 with Hornet, SM LE, and TTVJ Millett and thare is no doubt UE11 kick ass.
It is like comparing between iPod and iMOD. Things just opened up, the bass in UE11 is not really louder or overwhelming, but it is Deeper with authority, solid and body. Midrange is slightly more refined. It is very amazing IMO.

So, Transparency, SoundStage, Separation, Solid Deep Bass all I could say about UE11 now.

The L & R are color coded with blue and red writing but low lighting wont help by much. I'm sure UE would throw in a white L and R on each IEM on the inside to help you see in low light at no extra charge.

I've owned the e500's and I'll go ahead and predict most reviews with my personal experience by saying that the bass is better by a huge margin on the UE11's, midrange is sweeter and not as gritty on the UE11's, and the treble is just an insult to compare due to the e500's really bad roll-off and the UE11's featuring incredible clarity and detail that the e500's simply cannot reproduce.

The e500's are a great IEM but the UE11's just simply surpass in everything way, especially being custom fit being more comfortable and better isolating.

I did not want to hear that. I always felt that my e500 (same as se530) had a week point in high freq. I usually listen to a lot of string works and something with a clear high is a must.

One more question, e500 and most of the iems have closed feeling in terms of sound (cause they are), but does UM11 have the same prominent closed feeling?

Oh man, I have to get these now...Forget K1000's or anything.

I can't decide between clear, clear w/ titanium, or black...And I have a great idea for artwork, one of my site's logos. Does UE work with vectors?

LOL - impulse buying at it's best... I wouldn't get the K-1000s anyway unless you are going to get an appropriate amp which will most likely be costly.

The closest would be Etymotic, neutral sounding with amazing sparkling clarity. So you won't feel stuffy at all. it is the most open IEM I have heard to date.

E500 has horrible treble rolled off and gritty harsh midrange to me.
