Gents,
I have made a decision not to have the option for charging. Before anyone gets blue about this here are my reasons. One - Charging is going to increase the over all dimensions of the enclosure and I wanted to give this the smallest foot print possible, Two – adding a charging circuit would add about $100 to the cost of the device because I would need to make a cable that connects to the iPod, and a bunch of wiring to the device with sockets and add a PS Three – I do not like the possibility to introduce line noise. In addition, Four (and most importantly) – I wanted this to be a portable device away from any wall sockets. Therefore, the configuration is simple; a Mini input on one side and a mini out AND RCA outs on the other side. I am going to make a deticated cable that will come included with the purchase to the device, however if you have a standard Ipod Dock cable that will also work. If you want to use it with your home AMP, just use some RCA cables. Ken |
