Minibox-D gain problem! Help!

I've encountered a problem with my beloved Minibox-D!

It seems that when I throw the switch to Hi-Gain, the left channel cuts out amidst a bunch of static before falling silent.

Any suggestions on...
what is going on?
what to do?

Many thnx in advance, you guys have helped out a lot before!

I dont know what the problem is,but i would contact the company that made it and see what they can do for you. Even if someone knew the problem,...Can you fix it?

I am not familar with the Minibox-D but electronic circuits are electronic circuits and what you describe could be a scratchy or faulty switch, or your op amp went bad or best case is... your battery voltage has drained too low for the op amp to operate properly.

First thing I would try here is to replace your battery with a fresh new one and see if that left channel problem goes away. If so, you're set. If not, then it could be the switch contacts are dirty or loose or the op amp went bad.

Try a new battery first!
