Oh well, I don't think either side is going to do anything more than continue to circle explaining the same points in different ways so I'll just say sorry you had a bad experience and I hope we do not see a pattern of faulty or poorly made products from ALO. FWIW I've been very happy with all my cable purchases from Ken as I have from RnB Audio, Mikhail at SP, Zu and Larry at Headphile.
This post of yours really discredits your arguments I'm afraid. You obviously ignored swt61's reason for not having the docking connector fixed right away. And you've decided to inaccurately paraphrase me.

Unfortunately your last point about going in circles is probably true. I primarily fault that to those of you who continue to ignore the facts presented.

The only bashing in this thread has been unjustly targeted at warrior0. IMO ALO cables are grossly overpriced and if the premium isn't in the materials it must go into workmanship. For the prices ALO is charging the soldering should be perfect. End of story.

I didn't send the cable to warrior05 until months later, and even then only because i had a package going out to him anyway. Your assumption that I found the time to ship it to warrior around the same time frame just shows how eager you are to jump to conclusions.
Please don't misunderstand my post... in no way do I mean to downplay the impact of a loved one lost. All I am saying is that if you had time to send it out why not send it to ALO... especially if you were at the PO anyways for OP's package. I apologize if I came across as downplaying your loss.

It's clear that a common ground is not going to be reached here and I've said all I can to make my points understandable as have the folks on the other side so I'll just leave it alone.

Just your opinion (about the bashing and what must go into a roduct. I disagree. There's been plenty of bashing in both directions.

There's no universal truth about what must go into a product or how defect free it must be based on msrp. As an example, some of the most expensive brands of automobiles currently have very high defect counts/unit. Range Rover comes immediately to mind and Mercedes has recently had problems. Yet they are still expensive and still sell. I personally don't understand why but it doesn't matter.

I never intended a "resolution". My intent was a discussion, some reasonable debating and some opinions about businesses (not necessarily just ALO's) in general and what can be reasonably expected and any other interesting points of views. Unfortunately, in large, that didn't happen.

I'll probably check in from time to time for the remainder of the day but after I call it a night, I'm done with this thread.

But people seem to be able to voice their complaints about their problems with said vehicles without being condemned as some lowlife attacking the virtue of the manufacturer personally.
