Well, I posted this in my old, old thrifty-fi thead. But since I figured this is a pretty fun idea, I made another thread for everyone to share their expenditures and such. I wonder if anyone on head-fi has ever made a profit.

($150) : Grado SR-225 purchase
($50) : PA2v2 purchase
($7) : ratshack pads and 1/4 to mini adapter
$200 : Sold Grado SR-225
$45 : Sold PA2v2
$10 : kept starquad IC that came with PA2v2
($31) : International shipping
($10) : CONUS shipping
($11) : KSC-75 purchase
($98) : Meizu M6 2g black
($27) : 3x SR660
$40 : Sold 2 SR660
($15) : CONUS shipping
($14) : BKH3
($9) : Bone enclosure mod parts
($36) : QP55x
($35) : YH-100
($40) : Recable stuff
($115) : Little Dot MK1
($15) : Interconnect parts
$10 : sold starquad IC
($60) : Random vintage AT series headphones for messing around.
____________
($409) : total losses due to head-fi thus far

if you include audio purchases that headfi indirectly inspired (car audio stuff for example) lets just say I'm out more than a new entry level compact car

Unless you make a lot of sales (usually from cable making and mods you perform), it is more likely that you make a loss here.

($1300) : Grado GS1000 w/ Black Dragon recable.

However, since I gained awsome sound, I can't really treat it as a loss...

Whoops. Never mind.

I've only made a profit off of my Fubar II and my Senn595's.
