Looking for some albums to really see what my ms2i's can do when they arrive in a few days.

Genre doesn't matter, I love everything. Just looking for some really well mixed albums.

Eric Clapton - Unplugged

Any unplugged albums are awesome for critical listening, especially with alessandros. Alice in Chains Unplugged sounded awesome on the MS1s that I demoed.

Tool - Ænema

Usually the first CD I pull out to demo new stuff.

Edit: +1 on the recommendation for Sea Change

x2 on Steely Dan's Aja and Beck's Sea Change
Also, anything by Alison Krauss is extremely well recorded.

Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot

I just put on albums I really enjoy listening to and know will get a lot of spins out of on the headphones.
Really, to me buying a pair that sound great on 'audiophile' albums but not on what I like to listen to is just a waste... I'll never listen to that stuff anyways (although it is impressive to see how high-quality your stuff may be!)

Ya I agree

Of course what you listen to is what matters this is a way for me to explore some really wonderfully produced stuff.

Nils Lofgren - Acoustic Live

x2 on Tool, excellent first listen and it should sound great on alessandros.

Edit: Dream Theater also.
