The whole stand is heavy as hell, 3/8 glass is really heavy, and base is a handle made of solid steel, it weight like 5 lbs, no way you can flip it...trust me on that, anyway the E is not shuch an E, the center of the glass is not touching the surface...

Bizarre. Maybe it's a handling fee or something. I guess it just looks funny to me. I mean, you're already paying for the item plus the shipping so you're well above the minimum fee anyway

Yeah it looks plenty sturdy to me. Those chrome handles for feet are heavy pieces of hardware, I'm sure it's very stable, as well as gorgeous.
