On the matter of power outlets...

Is it better to plug a home amp into the wall or a surge protector such as http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProdu...duct_Id=327675 based soley on clean power.

I'm not looking to spend money, I already have the surge protector for my computer and wanted to know if it was cleaner than the wall or if it inducded it own noise to the line.

try for yourself and see. no one knows how dirty the power in your outlet is besides yourself. compare both ways, and if you can't tell the difference, then use the surge for protection.
