Anyone insterested in starting a new thread for Stax Sigma users, please feel welcome and join in. I have both the Sigma pro and non pro models. I love them very much. Scottsmrnyc

I have both as well and love them. I highly recommend putting some new pads on them if you are still using the originals. Much better comfort for an already very comfortable headphone.

Sigmas are stinky jobbyphones.

Well, it seems like you already started such a thread.
So no need to start another one...

I would love a Sigma. But guess I have "enough" Stax 'phones already...

I really love the Sigma Pro/404. Better highs than the original, not as much low end as the Omega 2, but a great phone. I don't care what anyone says, this one gets more time than the O2.

Mine probably gets more airtime than my HE60s.

Not to say I prefer them to the HE60, but the Senns suck for TV/movie watching.

I hate to admit it but the Sigmas are being neglected here. I don't have all that much time to listen these days and it is mostly spent on the newest arrival to the collection or some of my favorites like the SR-Lambda. See, having too many headphones has a down side!

I was just kidding.
Fully aware that I am going to get my hands on even more Stax phones...

Shop around for a well priced Sigma (some people overcharge something rotten for them), and snatch it.

Well it is nice to see we have a substantial response to our special thread on Stax Sigmas.
I recently used my Stax Sigma non pros with the SRD 7 portable amplifier out on the streets of Manhattan, NYC and onto the NYC Subway System. The response by the citizendry of NYC was quite incredible. Many of people thought I was from another planet!!! A lot of people stopped me to ask me where they could get a pair? Many had never seen anything like them before. They are truly unique. Scottsmrnyc

Scottsmrnyc. Thats hilarious!
I can image the look you get wearing those beasts in public.

The ultimate portable rig?
iMod -> SRM-X Pro -> 4070

Question: Were you drunk at the time?

You should have videoed it, it would have gone down in infamy along with Neilpeart's K1000s.
