I'm gonna make this short, because it isn't sweet.
I picked these up used on ebay for $15+ship, out of curiosity. They sell for $90 or so most places online.
They offer 29db of isolation, and that number is probably roughly accurate.
But how do they sound? The first thought that came to mind was: "It's like they got some ear protectors at Harbor Freight and glued in the drivers from some cheap crappy BigLots headphones! Ugh!"
Turns out, that's more or less exactly what they did. Looks like an OEM version of the Coby CV-180 earcup. Gotta be OEM, since it comes with instructions printed on it.

That lining in front of the driver is felt. It is not anywhere near acoustically transparent. Given the quality of the drivers, i doubt that replacing it with something else would help enough to justify the hassle.
They sound awful. Do not buy them.
