FS/FT: Brown Zune (Attn: Modders)

I must mention before anything, the Zune is not 100% functional. The only problem is that the harddrive is not connected. An error message comes up. I called Zune support, and they convinced me it was my fault and wanted to charge me $139 + shipping to get it fix. Yeah, right.

So I popped the little sucker open myself, and can't for the life of me figure it out. So away it will go. This is perfect if you're interested in upgrading the harddrive, since this baby is going to go for cheap and you'll be reattaching a new harddrive anyway.

I'd like to get $75 for it. With this deal, you'll get a DLO leather case and the DLO JamJacket.

As far as trades go, tell me what you want to trade and I'll consider it. It doesn't have to be audio related either. DVD's, video games(PC, DS, and GC), anything is cool.

Physically, the Zune is in great shape. The screen has a few hairline scratches, but nothing noticeable once you turn on the screen.

Unfortunately, I can only ship CONUS and cannot accept PayPal. It sucks, I know. Money Order is amazing though.

Also, these guys can upgrade it for you, if you want: http://www.rapidrepair.com/shop/gene...od-repair.html

So, do you think its the hard drive? Its kind of hard to tell from your post.

I'm 100% positive it is the harddrive. When I opened it, the harddrive was not attached to the ribbon cable, and that was it.

Hmmm, and when you re-connected it...it still didn't work?

i couldn't reconnect it. maybe i have really bad fingers or something, but i could not for the life of me get the ribbon back in the socket.

Have some one else try to reconnect it. It's not right for you to lose money over something that most likely can be easily fixed.

Here's the link to replacing the HDD with an 80GB, you can use it to tell if everything in your Zune is hooked up properly. Hate to see you lose money on your Zune if it is in fact an easy fix. If you aren't able to fix it you can probably find someone willing to fix it for you if you pay for shipping both ways.
