I dont understand why you would advertise your low-life behaviour on this board.
Yes, it's fraud and certainly a questionable behaviour.
OTOH this way the driver will learn it the hard way to do his job the way he's supposed to.
If the parcel is scanned as "out for delivery" and supposed to be signed at delivery the driver has to fake the signature, and in the end he will be kicked into the buttock and has to pay for the recompensation. So the driver was the first one who commited fraud. The sender has paid for the "signed at delivery" service.
Admittedly I was also tempted more than once to claim a lost parcel in such a case, but two wrongs don't make a right and that's not my personal style.
I can understand it though since without any punishment it will happen again and again.
Unfortunately DHL is totally unresponsive regarding complaints, at least in Germany where they originate.
Money talks though.

Uwe,

I never mentioned, but that amp you shipped to me by DHL had a fair few dents and damages on the box. It's lucky you packaged it so amazingly well, the amp was perfectly safe and undamaged.

If you hadn't gone overboard on the packing I bet it would have been damaged.

Lucky for me you knew what to expect from DHL!

By the way, that amp is everything I imagined, much more resolving and of course powerful than the Xin. I love it, thanks.

I've had good experiences with USPS and FedEx in my area, but UPS is horrible over here. I used to constantly get dented boxes from them and I actually received a box that was so beat up that it was partially opened and to top it off there was a clearly visible boot print right on the dent. I try to avoid UPS now unless its the only way I can get a package. The last couple packages I've gotten from them have been pretty perfect though so maybe they fired the box kicking guy.

Well, I got my Rudistor amplifier from Italy to NJ just ONE DAY after it was shipped in fine condition by a courteous driver in a clean DHL truck,

with clear tracking info all along. The other time I was sent something by DHL, an important document that need a signature, I missed the doorbell and

called DHL and the driver actually returned an hour later for it. So, at least for me, DHL gets a big thumbs up.

But this problem is not only related to DHL. I have the same experiences with Hermes, GLS, DPD and a UK company (I cannot remember the name) as well.

Some of my packages have been lost in transit for like four weeks until apparently someone noticed that there's still sitting a small box in the corner. Besides that, DHL usually delivers packages very fast. Especially from China when ordering from Audio-Gd and the likes, I'll usually have it 2-3 days later in my hands.
