Sony earbuds and sport headphones (the yellow ones that came with all the walkmans). I will say I was blessed with the purchase of a Sony MDR-CD2000, then a CD-3000, both of which opened my ears to the wonders of hi-fi. Then I found head-fi and my wallet has never been the same since.

Wait, are you saying you no longer have the HP1000 and K1000?

Before headfi I used the stock ibuds

Shure E2Cs, which I was mostly happy with. I joined and started reading hear though because I decided I wanted to upgrade. And it didn't take long. This site is the direct reason I now have Shure E500s and my wallet is lighter (although I got a great deal!).

Selling my HP1000 was one of the few decisions I still regret. As for K1000, I now own two, one of which is sitting on my head as I type this.

And my iBud also came after Head-Fi, and I still use it at the gym to this day. No way my Ety's are going to get sweaty

MDR - V600/V700 before i got decent cans, i had my proline 750's before head-fi but im getting in a little deeper as i continually read around and get into some of these other threads. now im looking into gettign a few other models of ultrasones, a few reference cans from AKG and beyerdynamic, im even tempted to get a pair of grado SR-80's just to feed my hunger for the knowledge of sound they put out.

its proven really hard for me to keep my savings account on the increase, but i am managing to keep it that way. i need to get out of this city, but the only way i can do that is to not buy up everything i lust for D:

HFI-2200's are a must for me. im working up the right size pills to drop the cheddar.

Other than the stock stuff that comes with sony pcd players and my iriver ihp120, i already had sony ex71, shure e3s, e4s, Sennheiser px-100 and Sennheiser RS-65 wireless cans.

Since I came here, I've bought Senn hd595s (and sold them), Alessandro MS-pros, and Shure E500s. Also sold the e3s and e4s, but still have the rs-65s
