This is Glitch39's. He loaned it to me last week. Sounds very good. That Zapfilter is something else.

Recca - Glad you enjoyed the ZZ.

here are better shots. I ditched the headamp, which was not much to talk about anyway.
Having two transformers and separate power supplies really gave each section enough power to its own job

where are you guys tapping into the power? Can someone remove the black cover...

damn, I give up, does anyone want to install a zapfilter for me?

I made a mess, hopefully it can still be salvaged...

take a pic of the mess. Jag, I can provide step by step instructions /diagrams for installing the zapfilter on 2.5 (us voltage) . The hardest part is placing the dam parts in case, the other is wiring. Ill start tongiht.

I've got a 2.0 :/

The hardest part for me was making the solder connections to the DAC board

I think my iron is crappy and the stupid silver solder I was using requires too much heat to melt

Anyways, after connecting everything like the pictures I've seen on here and having no sound come out, I gave up, removed the zap and fortunately the unit still works.

If anyone is willing to try to install it for me for a small fee, please PM. Thanks!

yea the zhoulo board is bit sensitive and can easily lift pads with high heat and friction. Sorry I cant help, I didn't take notes for wiring a 2.0 board. Did the resistors next to the jamecon caps get hot when you turned it on?

I'm not sure what the jamecon caps are, but the two large resistors on the zapfilter power board got scorching hot

Someone please help me out: http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f43/wt...lation-431919/

If you have the 5W resistors on the board, then they get very very hot and can actually scorch the PSU traces. I upgraded mine to 10W counterparts.

Newer zapfilter PSU boards have been updated with 10W resistors.
