Why do I post links instead of images?

At some point while posting images, I started posting links to images. Anyone know why?

Are you using the img tags? You can also use the little box above the new message box that looks like a yellow picture of a mountain, paste the image link in there and it adds the tags for you.

You have to upload the image and host it somewhere, imageshack is decent.

Unfortunately, imageshack is blocked in China.
