NorCal Regional, August 25th - Page 6

I will sign up, however my actual attendance is contigent on my progress with my studying.

Sign me up please!

More details to follow.

Will Sleestack be in attendance (officially as a member, or just on-site)?
yeah but is it worth signing up if you have nothing impressive
post #79 of 347
I think so. In many cases you get to listen to some higher end equipment and in the very least you get to put some faces to the names you see on your computer screen.

Sleestack will be more on-site rather than actively attending, but I'm sure he'll be checking out the meet too.

Did you read the first post? And why not bring the Microshar amp?
uh can someone give me a ride? i cant drive due to my insurance which doesnt happen until august 28th...

That brings up a valid point, I'll be most likely coming to San Jo via train, so I was hoping someone could grab me from there instead of me having to go through the Taxi mess?

<Quote>Sure, why not? I'd probably check 'em out, didn't know Mikhail also made ICs.</Quote>

Yeah Mikhail makes headphone cables as well but they are on the costly side (Or rather I think his wife actually makes them. I enquired about one for the Qualia and he quoted me 600 ;p I dunno if she makes the IC's as well.

If there's anyone thinking about attending that might be interested in staying at the hotel at a group rate, PM me. I'd like to get a headcount of how many people would take advantage, thanks.
I would be in for that... If I can get there in the first place.

Certianly... Hearing perception and the ability to pick out finite detail in sound has NOTHING to do with the total $$$ spent. I don't think too many people have the micro-shar amp yet, Ive got my eyes on it for certain. IMHO theres always room for one more value-targeted amp.

I am very interested in attending. I leave for school the following day, so I will have to make sure I am available.

Let me know if any equipment in my profile should be brought. It looks like most of the more renowned stuff I own is already on the list.
I am really excited to meet some of you and hear this stuff! Particularly interested in hearing a variety of amps with the K1000. I have only used mine with a couple vintage receivers I have.

Add Proline 2500 on my part, I doubt I want to spend the money on Edition 9. I really hope there will be a GS-1 and GS-X present on Justin's part, I need to try em.

I won't have the new portable DAC/Amp available for sale yet, just as a prototype
