All right, I'm selling off some stuff to free up cash for other toys. Here's what's for sale:
Headroom Cosmic--$525--This unit is about a year old and was purchased for $700; excellent condition cosmetically; includes the wall-wart, battery case, RCA-mini Straightwire interconnect. This is perhaps the best portable amp you can buy today (other than the Reference-version Cosmic).
Sony D-515--$150--This is one sweet sounding discman and is terrific sounding either as a stand-alone player or portable; functions perfectly, although it does not like scratched up CDs(!). It has DSP modes and was one of the first Discman models to feature Bass Boost (all of which sound terrific and also work through the line-out!), and was the first to incorporate Electronic Shock Protection (3 seconds!). It comes with the wall-wart and the remote--I'll even through in a micro-mini adapter if I can find it. One caveat--the headphone out is a little scratchy when changing volume--I'm thinking a little contact cleaner on the volume pot will clear that up, but I never use the headphone out, so I can't be sure.
[edit--forgot to mention, the D-515 can be used with standard AA's; you can buy the proprietary Sony battery, but they're expensive, heavy, and don't last as long]
