Infected Mushroom is awesome, but their last 2 CDs are far from psytrance. They put dollar bills in those beats to try and appeal to a wider audience. Vicious Delicious is terrible IMO...doesnt sound like Infected Mushroom at all. If you want to get into IM, there are only 3 CDs you need, The Gathering, Classical Mushroom, and BP Empire. All the rest are either so-so or they suck. Duvdev should not be singing...thats what ruins it for me. My favorite is Classical Mushroom...been in my regular rotation for 7 years

Yay IM fans

Hahahaha @ Crazy Frog sound... I guess I can see the resemblance now that you mention it, but to me it's different enough (cos I actually HATE that frog), and they this kind of sound way back on older albums (I think on Converting Vegetarians.. the song itself?). Same with the rapping... they're rapping on CV, just weird inflections. Maybe it's just more obvious because it's a guest rapper (I think). I don't believe they've become cheesy, but I'll grant you the music has become more accessible for the average punter. Seeing as this is a result of better production and overall song writing over time, I'm not bothered

BTW, what was the first IM song you guys/gals heard, and in what situation? A friend coped BP Empire onto my DAP, and I think Never Never Land was only 40 seconds in (not even into the song 'proper' before I was pscyhed up and knew I was in for something special/different. I'm SURE there are some much more interesting exposure stories than this!

PS: BadassBob, granted... talking from a 'purist' point of view etc, they've branched out a bit, but I like it. It's called an opinion

The first IM song I heard was Return Of The Shadows off of The Gathering. Damn its been awhile since that came out lol. Once I heard that, the rest of the album sucked me in.

I know this is a 1.5 year old bump, but I was just utterly blown away by "Converting Vegetarians!" It was a treat to hear - not only b/c it's good music but because of the amazing presentation! My HD600s really came alive to this album!
