What do you guys think? I love it! Seems like the perfect blend of everything from their previous albums, and I can't get enough of it. Curiously, I know one or two who absolutely abhore it! I guess overall, it is less trancey than say BP Empire or Converting Vegetarians (Trance Side anyway), but their past few albums have been going that way anyway, so I don't know why they suddenly hate this one!
Artillery is the only obvious slightly unusual track with the obvious rapping, but it's not too far off the track "Converting Vegetarians."
Sometimes I completely dial out the bass on my speakers if I am watching a movie late at night with the gf, and funnily enough I accidentally left if this way when I first listened to VD - I didn't even realise (because I'd never heard the album before!), with the bass back to normal it's *nearly* too much, but that's getting really picky about one of my fave bands/albums
This band and Dark Tranquillity are the only two bands I've loved for ages that are still (in my opinion) going from strength to strength over a decent period of time, instead of withering and dying after a certain pinnacle album.
