More durable wires

I have a tendency to break ruin my earphones because the wires are so thin, they easily get tugged on and damage the inner wires messing up the sound.

Is there any way possible that I can somehow reinforce the plastic so that it becomes more durable?

theres alot of people on their way to recommend recabling your headphones, and yeah, its a rather easy feat.
