It took me an hour of research to find flecom's #1376 ,..seems like he was the first average Joe to get a K701,.. all the others went to music studio's in Europe , ...AKG employees ..etc...

Apologies for bumping, but mine are Serial # 13558, and the sticker is on the left side, the white bit (nice technical term there) just below the headband

Must admit, I love these cans the more I listen to them. I kept almost convincing myself to sell them without giving them enough burning in time, or without using a proper source.

They are amazing. I'm no longer looking at replacing them - but am looking at another set of cans to go with them, probably Senn HD600/650, Beyer DT880/990, or Alessandro MS-2. Just something thats a bit 'different'.

If there is ONE thing I would change about the K701, it's the colour. I'd LOVE a set in black, rather than white. It just looks 'cheap'. Still, I don't wear them out and about like I used to my HD595 so it's not like I care that they look a bit daft

I just got mine today from compuplus as well but my serial number is 19042! What a difference. Guess they sold a lot this month with the stock market doing so well :sarcasmsmile:!
