Driver for Burr-Brown 2702?

Hello,

I just bought a Firestone Audio Fubar II USB DAC, and it keeps asking for a driver: Burr-Brown Japan PCM2702.

So I know I have an OEM version of windows XP, which didn't stop me from running my old DAC, a Xitel HiFi link pro.

Question is, how the heck do I get this thing up and running?

P.S. I have updated my USB drivers through my manufacturer's website. (Gigabyte S3 Motherboard)

Email Firestone and ask them to send you the driver if you can't find it. If that fails, try Microsoft customer support.

The BB PCM2702 implements the standard USB audio class. This class is supposed to have native support in Windows since Windows 98SE via usbaudio.sys, and thus it should be literally a plug-and-play device under XP. If it's not working, chances are something is wrong with your OS or the device itself. Have you tried a different port?

When Windows asks for a driver, you could try pointing it to usbaudio.sys. It should be in \Windows\system32\drivers.

It should be there. If it's not, it's missing. By that I mean it's normally a part of Windows. If it's not there, you should be able to get it off your install disk.

usbaudio.sys IS there... like I said, my previous USB card was working, but this one requires a special Burr-Brown Japan PCM2702 driver...

Could somebody with a Fubar post their USBAudio.sys file?

Is this the same driver for the EF2? My computer is no longer recognizing the EF2 DAC or its driver.

Hey Guys,

The same this is happening with EF2a...my computer is not recognizing it. Anybody have a fix for this?

thanks

Aditya
