Looking for a new portable closed back phones

I really would love to try something else than AKG K81 DJ. I also had K26 in the past, so this one out of picture. I do not like Sennheiser sound and want something else, like AKG K81 but with less bass and more detail.

Budget like USD 100-150, 2nd hand isnt a problem for me.

Any ideas, would appreciate. THX

I guess it depends on what you consider portable but if you go circumaural - the RP-21s are very impressive especially considering their pricepoint. However, you mentioned less bass than the DJs. The RP-21s have quite the bass presence but it is wonderfully controlled. I've gotten the bass pretty well controlled with my DJs but the Equations totally smoke the DJs. Lots more detail as well.

Now I can't speak to Equation's RP-22x, but it is my understanding that they have less of a bass impact but still bring plenty to the table. Not a lot of impressions yet on 22 as of yet though. But if they bring to the table the level of quality sound as the 21s, they may be just the ticket.

Good luck!

Hmm, they looks quit big, but maybe I am mistaking. Another issue, no dealer in Holland, so maybe Ebay.

THX.

Yeah, these came to my mind as well, but how is the isolation. And can you describe them VS K81 please.
