Looking for a relatively inexpensive pair of interconnects. Likely used is going to be the way to go, but what are the best new $50-$75 a pair ICs out there? Any help would be great appreciated.

Thanks.

You could get [edit: new] zu oxyfuels for ~50 on ebay, and official too since the seller is "zu-promos" or something like that and is them selling so you have warranty and everything.

their listings

Thanks for the advice shovel. I've actually had them previously, but they're so inflexible that stacking components became difficult. I still have a Pivot though.

How about used Grovers? Can't go wrong with them. Or if you can score some used Bogdan silver princess.

These have been working well for me. They LOOK pretty good visually and build wise but I don't know much about cables and I can't find anyone else with them.

DNM Solid Core Cables are very nice ICs and can be found under $70

Some really long Blue Jeans Cable LC-1 cables with Techflex to pad out the price.

I really like my BJC, at about $35 a pair including S&H.

x2. I have the balanced version and it sounds great on my much more expensive speaker setup. Alternatively you can ask someone around this forum to make you a pair. I had great experience with Brian (Highflyin9).

Thanks for the suggestions guys. The Heartland Belden 89259 cable has also been mentioned. Anyone have experience with them?

I've seen Belden 89259 recommended for DIY cables. The price of the cable seems reasonable, though if you know a DIY who stocks Belden 89259 and Bullet Plugs (FS ad maybe?), you might be able to get the same cable for even cheaper (not much cheaper, though).

The Belden 89259 earned its fame from Jon Risch interconnect receipe.
Although Jon recommends the 89259 by itself before introducing his own receipe, I would not recommend that for audio. Coaxial structure (inner conductor and a conductive sleeve) in general is not the best receipe for audio IMO. The DIY twisted-pair receipe is much superior in all respects and if you have to stick to a lower price range then that's the direction I'd recommend.

Dang. I didn't even realize it was coaxial. I thought it was a shielded twisted pair.

Signal Cable Analog Two
Should be more flexible than Zu, I have one, great quality, no complaints.
