I don't know if anyone has read anything about these speakers, but I hear that they are fairly decent for the price. Anyone here have reviews or impressions?

um, it was a joke? the speakers are advertised as "440 Watt Floor Speakers" that are of "German engineered quality with 440 watt output."

that's meaningless gobbledygook, thus i was making fun of it.

It works on the same principle as your car's alternator. You pump loud music at a speaker (enough to move the cone), and the voice coil's movement within the magnet generates current at the speaker terminals, which can then be hooked up to another speaker. This is horribly inefficient however.

But these speakers produce 440 watts...at the speaker terminals, right?
