HD650 after-market cables

What is the best after-market cable for HD650? Equinox? Cardas?
What is the difference between Equinox LE and regular Equinox?

after a few listens with the zu mobius i couldn't turn back. really pushes the sound forward and controls the bass. i've never tried any others but they're far better than the stock cables, that's for sure

Did you get a deal or did you purchase at the usual e-net vendors? I like my Senns but I always feel the urge to kick those lazy cans to bring out the music. Sort of like audio root canal.

I had an oportunity to listen to a few: Cardas, RNB's, Zu, and Senn V2 in Black Silver with the HD600.

To me the Senn V2 in Black Silver from Headphile was the one that helped open up and tighten the bass in the HD600. Ihave never cared for the HD650 even w/ aftermarket cables (listened to a few).

The best cables I've used are RnB G52, Revelation Audio Labs Paradise and Enigma Audio The Oracle.

RAL was made of pure silver so it made HD650 sound very different. Made them brighter, more detailed and took the bass amount little lower. Other two cables are more faithful to the HD650 sound and they slightly improve on every area but the differences aren't so clear than what they are with the silver cable.

equinox is ..... more expensive.
LOL, I have no idea tho. But whatever better depends on your music taste.

You know I had forgotten I had listened to Vorlon1 HD600 with the Revelation Audio re-cabled. I concur with your views on its sound. Very open and detailed on the upper register.

From what I have read Cardas has the least effect on Senns. Zu, Silver Dragon, Equinox or RAL are probably better choices.

ive owned zu mobius,cardas and presently have equinox
the equinox wins hands down for me, although i did hear the new prototype equinox cables for the 6xx at the 07 natl head-fi meet and they opened up the already wide soundstage of the equinox , i cant wait for them to come out...
