NAD dirty volume pot

i have an NAD 3155 with a dirty volume pot. is it safe to clean by myself?

It should be fine. I have a older NAD 7140 that had a noisy volume pot and I just unplugged the amp and carefully sprayed it with DeoxIT a couple times while turning the knob back and forth and it worked great. I also went through and cleaned all my connections on the rear as well and that seemed to help too...

If you are going to open the amp to clean the volume pot clean the rest as well. Put a rag around the pot being cleaned to absorb any leakage. Good luck.
