im hoping to recable a pair of dt990s myself, or get a fellow head-fier who has a fair amount of experience soldering etc to help me out. my question is..im a bit of a newb on the topic so what are my basic options for cable? i know that moon audio simply sells cables that would be specifically designed to be installed onto beyers etc (ive looked quite extensively at the blue dragon as it seems closest suited to my musical tastes, rock, techno etc). from my understanding, this would already be terminated with whatever choice i wanted, and would simply require installation at the headphone end. alternatively..if 175 or whatever the price of a blue dragon comes out to is a little high for my tastes..can someone suggest something perhaps a tier lower? if we were to purchase just the bulk cable of choice and then put the termination on ourselves, would that end up being cheaper? if so, could someone suggest some decent cable that would suit my $$ and musical tasteS? cheers and i hope SOMEONE can offer some help, ive had trouble finding really relevant threads! thanx!!!
