Just after some advice please. I have just ordered a hornet M, am in the process of buying some HD 650s. These will be connected to my 4G ipod. I live in the UK, but have no problem importing the right gear.

The problem is am a total newbie and have no idead what cabel to buy? i have looked on ALO website but am none the wiser. My budget is around $100-150. I listen to alternative/indie rock as well as other genres. Any advice will be appreciated. Please forgive me if this question has been asked 1000 times before (still having trouble searching forums)

Go for a pure sound

Welcome crocandy.

I advise contacting [AK]Zip (Alex) either via PM here or via email (alex@apuresound.com). Visit the website - http://www.apuresound.com/products.html.

I've found his cables at all points in any of my audio chains - from portable upwards - to be the cleanest, clearest deliverers of all the source signal they're getting. For instance, I use his mini-2-mini between my Sony NW-HD5 and my Hornet M.

Alex is also a good communicator who works well with his customers.

Cheers.

Ian.

people will probably mention Kimber, Cardas, Audio Analysis, ALO as good places to go. you can find one here in your price-range, or go to another audio site. headroom will sell you one, and there are several german sites that also provide good quality. consider asking for advice regarding the hornet and your DAP - silver, copper? for your 4G iPod, I would definitely recommend a dock line-out to mini cable. I am happy with my ALO Bling but you can definitely go higher... ;-)

Qables (look right) are based in Europe. However, I lost all respect for the company when they started offering a cable burn in service for "only" £$15.

I wouldn't use them just on that basis.
