When I listened to the sound for the 1st time, I was hit by it. I was punched by the not-punchy-bass. I was hoping it would offer much better bass response than SE315.. equals to Klipsch Image...

Seems this should be in the headphone forum....
Depends on the tube amp you plan to use.
I think the Edition 9s are among the best (if not the best) headphones I've ever owned, epecially when driven from powerful solidstate amp. Also sounded great out of my Mapletree Ear+HD. However, the RS-1s (or PS-1) and Mapletree Ear+ HD was a magical combination and one of the best bang for buck rigs I've owned or heard. I thinks both these grados love tubes and tubes love them right back.
I now have just the E9s and HF-1s (for Grados), and they each have their use, so, get both <evil grin>
Edition 9 and Zana Deux (or the ultra juicy B52) or similar might be smokin' good. I would love to hear this combination.
All this stated, what type of music, budget, etc.

- Proved that despite its huge size the CD3000 can be shoved down one's throat.
