Meh.

Not to say Starcraft wasn't a good game, but IMO it's always been vastly overestimated.
And personally, I can't stand scissors-paper-stone units... I love the Total Annihilation philosophy, where everything can at least have a go at shooting everything else. SupCom should fit the bill, but I don't have a powerful enough computer to run it... *sigh*

Aaanyway: I'm happy SC2 will come out, because I did enjoy the first one. I just think all the "WAAA SC2 OMG OMG I'M COMING" hype is undeserved.

I didn't like the SupCom demo I played anywhere near as much as I enjoyed Starcraft. In that anyway units aren't exactly equal. Like the destroyers from one team are slightly better than the others. I think it's Aeon are better than UEF, if I got the factions right.

Plus you can argue that both ways anyway. Like rather than have a one size fits all faction you can choose, small unit count but powerful, balanced (more or less) or a massive swarm of weak units. But yeah, whatever you like best...

Plus it's not really that much hype, C&C 3 is being hyped as well. Although the thing is starcraft was good really and for a lot of gamers theres nostalgia to it.

Me too! Man, when are we going to get that?

The pics look good. Is the announcement day going to be a national holiday in South Korea?

I was smart enough to avoid SC1 during college. I saw many of my friends addicted to it and their grades really suffered. I had one friend addicted to both SC and CS. He did nothing buy game all day, and never went to class. Took him 6 years to get a bachelors degree.

Anyways, this should be great. I might even try to find a copy of SC 1 so that I have proper perspective coming into this one. Should be a good one. Gonna have to update my computer though.

There's Hellgate: London to look forward to. It's Diablo style and it's being developed by the original Diablo guys.

Incredible CG, yet another Blizzard trademark. I personally think their CGI looks better than most of the stuff that populates the movie theaters these days.

Guess we know why Starcraft: Ghost was delayed indefinitely now. I would still like to see that one come out, especially with the Metal Arms team developing it (last I heard anyway).
