Opinions on K701 comfort? - Page 7

k701s are pretty comfy to me. a little itch on top of the head but its very minor for me to consider uncomfortable. The senn 600s clamp is more annoying to me personally

After 1hour listening, I usually concentrate on my sore top more than the great sound coming from the drivers.
Do I need put a sponge pad over my head?

If you have a decent-sized head, the headband will likely be too small even at its maximum extension in the stock K701. This means the cups will pull your ears up, which is unacceptable on a $10 phone, nevermind a $300 one. It took me five minutes to decide that I'd either have to sell them or mod them. I chose the latter and never looked back. Now I've been wearing them nearly non-stop for the last six hours, and they're still comfortable. No pressure on the top of the head; the only remaining pressure is from the cups, which feel a little heavy at times.

just gotten a pair off someone who wants to upgrade to a K702 for about US$200. I must say its rather comfy...the pads are soft and rests nicely on my ears.

let's see how long i can last before my ears experience weight fatigue. lol

Though at first the bumps did bother me a lot, after some simple kneading and breaking in of the headband, it's perfectly comfortable for me now.

Leather Good, Smell nice, need rubbies with tanning cream.

another option would be a gel keyboard wrist pad velcroed upside down between your head and the bumps

EDIT: Leather Tanning not Coppertone !!!

I have one of the early units (s/n 1415). They are very comfy with new pads.
