I thought battery power for amps means cleaner power than many AC powered amps and is mostly free of noise??

The existence of anything in an audio signal is bound to degrade it somehow. As you know, the optimal way to listen to music would be in a anechoic chamber with the live performers (or is that live performers on stage? Not sure if there is a variation in live performers/speakers being optimal in this situation). In any case, everything degrades an audio signal. So I imagine that even the inclusion of a battery would introduce negative qualities. But heck, you gotta power it with something! Batteries are generally much cleaner than AC adapters. So I suppose the better the battery the less the distortion (for the very few, if any, that can pick up on the differences in the SQ of various batteries. Certainly not me!).

This is said by goto2003 at the Xin forum.
Does that mean Dr.Xin have created a whole new amp that is even better?

Nope,as i chose the Micro IV for the small size.
So I have no reason to change my order to Reference which is bigger in size.

Need not worry,I changed order with him twice and he replied to me quickly.
I changed order from Supermacro LE to Supermini then Supermicro.

I'm as Indecisive as ChickenGod(opps!)

But the knob and the metal casing is much better than the scroll wheel and plastic toy-like casing of Supermicro.
haha... ok... i will compare my micro and reference in due time. hopefully reference is much better. =)

I listened to a couple reference recordings and I heard micro details I had not heard before with bass that growled like it was in my heart. Then I put on Dire Straits, "Brothers in Arms" and got goose bumps and after five minutes they were still there.

Wow. So the stork arrived? Or did you visit the good doctor? This is very interesting news!

I had a very interesting and enjoyable visit. I will post an image and more information. When I moved to Oregon I didn't realize how close I lived to Xin. We have corresponded for a few years and I lived in the Province he came from in China so it was very interesting do discuss other things than amps, well almost. :^)

I received my Xin Reference today and it is quietly burning in. Straight out of the box sounds fantastic.

I was of the same impression as you.

It always has in my experience. I even bias driver tubes with a battery and it is better than resistor or resistor and cap bias.

!!! More Reference impressions please! People, whip out those ER-4S!
