In any case, I'm Looking forward to your review miguel.
It is a Supermicro IV taken to the max, I have edited my 1st post to reflect this new information. As such I do not anticipate being able to roll op-amps.

I have to say that if I had a back order of XYZ amps and I could manufacture 1 per hour I would be tempted to work 12 hours a day to ship as many as I can. However that still leaves a couple of hours a day to think/theorize/dream. So this is what Dr. Xin came up with!

Congratulations ChickenGod! The SR225 is a very nice can!

Thanks! They are. Now for the SuperMicro IV

I peed my pants just to hear the name. Have to get myself one.

Kidding aside this is what one should expect from Dr.Xin: taking the best and make it better, to hell with everything else.

We all know the rules, don't we?

Looks pretty spiffy.

Any idea how much this bad boy will cost?

There will be those with more experienced responses, but, Dr. Xin is very well respected for his capabilities and has some of the better sounding amps available for the price range. RS, Larocco. He is always looking ahead and sometimes the present suffers. A long delivery time (6xs stated delivery) has been his only negative. Here is a link to his site. http://www.fixup.net/products/index.htm

I am very curious to hear your impressions mrarroyo. In particular with a low imp. can like the 701s. Looks like a simple upgrade to BG that cap. and the rubber ringed knob is a welcome change from the last knob (smooth). Makes it easier to adjust in a bag with one finger.

I was not expecting to see a new Xin amp and as Skylab mentions, it seems he's just now able to keep up with the current influx of back orders and upgrades...so I'm guessing.

I'll be happy just to get my SuperMini IV updated to 4/11 standards.

Heh. Credit card size... 200 hours battery... HUGE capacitor in the back.

Sounds like Dr. Xin is putting out a Tomahawk-killer-wannabe.

I have no doubt that this will be an ultra-transparent, mind-blowing headamp with tube-liquidish mids that will be hard to beat...

my only peeve with the supermicro-4 was the fragile shell but it seems the dr. has addressed this with an exclamation point!

uggh...another 3 month wait, awaits...be still my beating heart...

oh honey, can i buy my birthday gift a year in advance?!

btw, when will this be available to the public, mrarroyo?

Xin replied me with the same pics about the Xin Supermacro-IV Reference Edition.
