I'm guessing battery power is cleaner than AC? It basically acts as a huge capacitor, filtering out uneven power delivery.

Yes, and they're absolutely not worth the $2 I paid for them. Every $0,50 earbud sounds better than those.

Yes, because I don't like the sound of the E2c - E5c... I should really give the E500/530 a closer listen, though. But it's hard finding a store that carries them (and lets you listen to them).

Yeah, I don't normally run it that way.. was just a bit of fun, and working out if I'd be able to use it in the car. My inverter isn't as good as I'd like it to be, but I was surprised at the sound.
