Also: the mere fact that the cable will be made by ALO and doesn't plug into the headphone jack indicates it must be a line-out cable. Apart from Vinnie boring a hole into the case, the iPod's dock is the only other possible means of connection.
Issues aside, you make welcome points about the cable itself, which I saw from a distance but not, regrettably, from closer vantage. As I said before, the dock looked to be another of Ken's artistic confections. Coupled with the iMod, it seems to make the greatest sonic improvement of any cable he's made thus far. One wonders whether his past LODs could be used with the 5G iMod and achieve any of the benefits of the proprietary iMod cable (since Killercrush seems to want to use his own). I'll try to ask Ken about that later this evening.
